As the seasons are changing, the CDC has released new guidance for hosting gatherings and cook-outs. As we’ve continuously encouraged, the CDC reminds YOU to remind guests to say home if they are sick; to encourage social distancing; continue wearing masks (you don’t know the risks of those who may be attending); clean hands frequently; limit the number of people serving and handling food; limit contact with commonly touched surfaces or shared items. A recent study sought to understand “public perceptions of government responses to COVID-19” to “foster improved public cooperation. This study, using a new tool called COVID-SCORE may “help governments more effectively engage constituents in current and future efforts to control COVID-19”. How did the different countries score? Weekly 50-State Matrix Update
The average U.S. social index value decreased from 29 (last week) to 27 (this week), indicating an increase in mobility throughout the U.S.

Eight (8) states (California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, Louisiana, Kentucky, and Michigan) have reversed some of their re-opening policies, which vary by state. These states are indicated by an asterisk (*) in the matrix.

Eleven (11) states (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Illinois, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Delaware, and Connecticut) are partially re-opening to varying levels. These states are indicated by a cross (†) in the matrix.

Thirteen (13) states have a TPR greater than 10% indicating they have inadequate testing and/or increasing case counts. These states are:
