The FDA has put out a new video, “Beware of Fraudulent Coronavirus Tests, Vaccines and Treatments” to highlight the fact that there are currently no FDA-approved drugs or vaccines to treat or prevent COVID-19. Anything out there, now, is currently fraudulent.

The CDC has released a briefing on the potential short-term and long-term effects of COVID-19. There is potential that heart conditions are affected including inflammation and damage to the heart not just in older and middle-age adults, but also in young adults.

Also on Monday, as part of the FDA’s New Era of Smarter Food Safety Blueprint, the FDA announced a proposed rule to establish additional traceability recordkeeping requirements for certain foods as part of its drafted “Food Traceability List.” The list includes foods like leafy greens, fresh cut fruits and vegetables, shell eggs, nut butters, some fish, etc.

The average U.S. social index value increased to 31 this week from 30 last week.

Ten (10) states (California, Nevada, Arizona, New Mexico, Colorado, Texas, Louisiana, Florida, Kentucky, and Michigan) have reversed some of their re-opening policies, which vary by state. These states are indicated by an asterisk (*) in the matrix.

Twelve (12) states (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Illinois, Arkansas, Mississippi, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Delaware, New Jersey, and Connecticut) are partially re-opening to varying levels. These states are indicated by a cross (†) in the matrix.
Eleven (11) states, the same number as last week, have a TPR greater than 10% indicating they have inadequate testing and/or increasing case counts. These states are:

South Dakota, Wisconsin, and Idaho: 17%

Iowa: 16%

Kansas and Utah: 15%

Alabama and Missouri: 14%

Nebraska: 13%

Florida and Wyoming: 11%
